PRODUCT DETAILS

Is it right for your home?

Fresh rat droppings or gnawing in a dry indoor space? The Victor Electronic Rat Trap provides a contained way to tackle rats without rodent poison. It delivers an electric shock inside the trap, then flashes a green catch light so you know when to empty it.

Why use it indoors?

You can retrieve the catch instead of risking a poisoned rat dying behind a wall or under the floor. Switch off before opening, tip out the catch without touching it, and clean and reset as directed. This is a reusable, single-catch trap.

Simple setup

This is the current model powered by four AA batteries. Fit the batteries, add a small amount of suitable food lure and position along an active route. Follow the supplied setup instructions. Keep it dry, use indoors only and choose somewhere children and pets cannot reach.

Give cautious rats time

Rats often avoid new objects at first. Leave a well-placed trap undisturbed rather than moving it after one quiet night. Check at least daily; several active routes may need more than one trap.

Stop the return visits

Remove easy food sources and follow our rodent proofing guide. Pest-Store Rodent Proofing Fabric helps close suitable gaps once rodents have been cleared. Prefer a simpler option? Compare the Pest-Store Rat Trap.

See the catch.
Reset and reuse.

A practical first choice for confirmed rats or mice indoors, where you can place and check traps daily. A catch gives you a clear result and lets you remove the rodent straight away.

  • Control without rodent poison
  • See where your setup is working
  • Reuse suitable snap traps

02 / POISON BAIT

A feeding point.
A different approach.

For a confirmed rodent problem, suitable bait may be an option where its label allows use. A lockable bait station helps prevent children, pets and wildlife from reaching the poison, while rodents enter to feed. Check and replenish the bait as its label directs.

Using poison indoors? Rats or mice may die beneath floors or behind walls, causing an unpleasant smell where the body is difficult to reach. Traps in accessible positions let you find and remove the catch.

  • No trap to reset after each feeding visit
  • Takes days to work, rather than giving an immediate catch
  • Choose amateur-use bait for your pest and location
When to consider bait ↗

KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT

Mice investigate.
Rats take patience.

Mice are usually more curious about new objects, so trapping is often more straightforward. Rats can be wary of a new trap or bait station for several days. This is called neophobia — a fear of new things. Give a well-placed setup time rather than moving it after one quiet night.

COVER THE ACTIVE ROUTES

More than one point.
More chances to find it.

Activity in several places? Use more than one trap or bait station to cover the routes where you find signs. Several well-placed points often work better than relying on a single spot. For poison, follow the bait label for the number of points, spacing and amount at each one.

Keep checking your setup and look for fresh signs. Good placement, removing easy food and blocking the way back in all help your treatment work. Read the practical setup advice →
