Fortefog P Midi releases insecticidal smoke into an enclosed indoor space. It is a useful option where direct spraying is awkward, with the smoke reaching exposed flying and crawling insects around the room. This listing is for one Midi 11g fumer.
When is a fumer useful?
Choose it for a room you can prepare, leave empty during treatment and air thoroughly afterwards. It treats label-listed insects including flies, mosquitoes, wasps, moths, fleas, bed bugs, ants and cockroaches. For targeted treatment of a particular seam or surface, a suitable spray may be the more convenient starting point.
How many Midi fumers do I need?
Measure the room's length × width × height in metres. The result is its volume in cubic metres (m³). Coverage depends on the insect:
- Flying insects: one Midi per 400m³.
- Fleas and carpet moths: one Midi per 100m³.
- Bed bugs, ants and cockroaches: one Midi per 25m³.
Round up to whole fumers. For example, a 4m × 3m room with a 2.5m ceiling is 30m³: it needs one Midi for fleas, or two for bed bugs. The 400m³ figure applies to flying insects only.
Plan the treatment
Follow the leaflet to prepare the room and protect food and food-contact surfaces. Remove people and animals, including fish. Place each canister on the heat-resistant surface specified in the directions, away from combustible materials; it can emit sparks when lit. Follow the lighting sequence, leave promptly and close the room.
Stay out for at least two hours, preferably overnight as the leaflet advises, then ventilate thoroughly before using the room again. Do not breathe the smoke.
Using it for bed bugs
The supplied directions call for a combined treatment with the specified surface and dust products. Smoke is one part of that plan, not a substitute for inspecting and treating the hiding places. Read the full leaflet before choosing your treatment.
